Meet Dr. Jerome “Jay” Gibson

When it comes to his work, Dr. Jerome “Jay” Gibson has found the perfect combination of art and technology to create beautiful and healthy smiles for his patients. His talents and his compassion, working with children and adults, make him one of the most sought after orthodontist in San Antonio. Dr. Gibson has extensive expertise in orthodontics and dentofaciall orthopedics, has written research papers and textbook chapters for orthodontic specialist, and and has been consistently recruited to teach continuing education courses for dentist and orthodontist across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

It is with his patients though, that Dr. Gibson truly shines. His ability to connect with each creates a rapport that leads to friendship. Patients look forward to visiting him as he works with them to correct their oral health issues and develop their unique and stunning smiles.

Education and Appointments

In addition to his formal education, Dr. Gibson actively seeks out continuing education courses. He attends seminars, conferences, and hands-on demonstrations; always learning about new technologies and techniques. This allows him to stay at the forefront of developments in orthodontia, so that whether training specialist or caring for his own patients, he is able to provide them with the most contemporary and proven treatment techniques.

Dr. Gibson is also in demand a leader, instructor, and educator in the orthodontic field. This includes providing training to orthodontic residents for the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and serving in roles such as President of the Texas Orthodontic Study Club.

Dr. Gibson has served the community in San Antonio during his entire career.  He has performed volunteer work  for numerous service organizations including the Alamo Heights Ft. Sam Houston Soccer League, the Alamo Heights Little League, the American Cancer Society, and the Alamo Kiwanis Club, among others and served in leadership rolls for multiple community boards:

Personal Life

Originally from Atlanta, Dr. Gibson has called San Antonio home for more than 25 years. He and his wife Jenny have a daughter, Hannah, and a son, Grant. The family shares their home with Belle, a Jack Russell terrier. Especially enjoying any time spent outdoors, Dr. Gibson loves underwater photography, saltwater fly fishing, gardening and nature photography.
